All employers enrolled in the Ohio State Fund workers’ compensation system are required to choose a Managed Care Organization (MCO) to medically manage their organization’s work related injuries. New employers can select Health Management Solutions as their MCO within 30 days of enrollment into the State Fund workers’ compensation system. Existing employers in the state of Ohio may only change their MCO during an open enrollment period that occurs once every two years.

Note: Per the regulations of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, MCOs cannot market their services to employers before the start of open enrollment. However, interested employers can contact any MCO prior to the open enrollment period and MCOs may respond to requests. It is the employer’s sole right to select an MCO that best fits their needs.

For any questions, contact Health Management Solutions.
