For Ohio Employers
With a dedicated claims management team and a strong focus on return to work, our employers can be confident that our staff will provide the employer and injured worker with high quality medical management.
For Injured Workers
If your employer has chosen Health Management Solutions as their Ohio Managed Care Organization for work-related injuries, a workers compensation case manager will notify you immediately after receiving notice of your injury.
We feel that the Health Care Provider is an integral part of the team. The only way we can work with the injured worker and the employer to return the injured work to optimal health is with the help of the Provider.
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has initiated a plan to phase out coverage for Oxycontin and its generic form by the end of the year.
Given the potential for abuse, misuse, addiction, and dependence, BWC will no longer pay for Oxycontin or generic sustained-release oxycodone tablets for workers who have injuries as of June 1st, 2019. Injured workers currently on these medications will have until December 31st, 2019 to discontinue the use of, or switch to a different product.
